Pittsburgh Tribune Review 05/13/2001 Robert Kalp Sr. obit Robert E. Kalp Sr., 80, of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, in Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. He was born Oct. 18, 1920, in Mutual, a son of the late George and Sarah Kalp. Prior to retirement, he had been a construction worker for 43 years with Westmoreland Construction Co. He was a member of Holy Ascension of Our Lord Serbian Orthodox Church, Youngwood, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evangeline (Muskin) Kalp, on Feb. 26, 1984; a son, Donald W. Kalp, on April 7, 2001; and a brother, Jake Kalp. He is survived by three sons, Robert E. Jr. and his wife, Karin Kalp, of South Greensburg, Gary P. and his wife, Kathleen Kalp, of Youngwood and George E. and his wife, Helen Kalp, of Greensburg; a daughter, Nadine and her husband, Larry Buchheit, of Greensburg; a daughter-in-law, Michele (Konstanty) Kalp of New Stanton; 10 grandchildren, Mike, Amber, Rebecca, Beth Anne, Shannon, Daniel, Shannon, Amanda, Joseph and Milena; three great- grandchildren, Shelby, Sarah and Jakob; a brother, Harry Kalp of United; a sister, Pearl Kalp; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will begin in the funeral home Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. and continue in Holy Ascension of Our Lord Serbian Orthodox Church, Youngwood, with the Very Rev. Adam Yonitch Jr. officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Pomen will be held in the funeral home Monday at 7:30 p.m.
